Gettin' in the Halloween Spirit!

We carved pumpkins on Sunday and put them out! We haven't done that for a long time. It was really fun. We are going to put lights up later this week. There were these really cool candles to put in the pumpkins that we got at walmart in the halloween section. They are liquid candles, and work better than having wax. We're excited for Halloween!

Fun Weekend

Well, it's been a while since I've posted anything. Not much has happened in our lives. Over Labor Day weekend, Jenny, Troy and the kids came to stay the weekend. It was way fun. Jenn and Troy spent one night in Vegas and we had the kids for a slumber party. I took some pictures to frame and put in my room, but I can't find the cord for the digital camera! When I find it I will post them. Then around the thirteenth we went home to surprise everyone, and go to my cousin Baylee's baptism. Everyone was so surprised! We just spent the night and we went to our ward up there. Nothing much has happened since then, but this last weekend we had visitors! Grandma is now here to stay for 2 weeks, until my mom's doctors appointment next week. My uncle John and his wife Angie, brought her down and stayed in a hotel for the weekend. My aunt Nan and uncle Kelly decided to come for the weekend. They all rode together. We had fun going to dinner and visiting. On Saturday we went to some stores and then to dinner again at the Pizza Factory. On Sunday morning they left and grandma is staying... We watched conference and really enjoyed it and the messages. On saturday evening we went over to the St. George temple to see the visitors center and watch Legacy. They also have a short movie called Pioneer Miracle, which is so cute. We took a picture! We are starting to adjust. It is still hard, and I am really getting tired of the red dirt! I miss my mountains and everything that is so familiar.

We went to the movie today after I got out of school, and saw American Carol. It was cute and really had good points. It isn't something to see twice. I don't know what we are going to do that is fun. There isn't much here.

This is going to be a post of many different things! The first picture is of us at the St. George Temple.

Next, this was a while ago, the beginning of May. It is some of the girls of our family(not even a fraction though) who were dressed in black and white at my cousin Caitlyn's wedding.

And this is a picture of what I did for a really fun Young Women activity. We went to the Dixie cliffs and repelled over the edge! It was so fun but so scary!! I went first just to get it over with! It was such a pretty view from up there.

Well, that is a quick summary of what has been going on! When something exciting happens I will post it! For right now, life is boring :)

All Settled In

Well, we've lived in St. George for 3 whole weeks. Can you believe it! We're starting to become more adjusted. The house feels like home, with all of our stuff in it. We finally hung pictures and put curtains up. All the boxes in the house are put away. Of course there is still a bunch of stuff in the garage that will get gone through eventually. We're actually starting to get used to the 100+ weather. When we go out we always say, Oh it's not bad out today! Then we realize that it is still 100 degrees, we're just used to it :) We live really close to the Wal Mart and all the stores. Robyn and Lauren make frequent trips to Del Taco for fish tacos and Neopolitan Shakes!! School started on the 12th!! It's crazy! We only live a few blocks away so Lauren walks home from school. Her right side is now tanner than her left, because the sun is on that side on her walk home. We have gone to church once, and the Relief Society Presidency came over yesterday to visit. I hope we'll like it. The Young Women's is really small. They thought having 4 miamaids was a full house! We love having Larry home more often. We are doing more as a family. We miss Jenny, Troy, and the kids like crazy!!!! We can't wait to see them again. We feel so far away from everything that happens at home. Robyn talks to her sisters and we keep up to date with the family, but we're not part of it. It has been harder than we ever imagined. It's just the 3 of us and the dog. We really have to rely on each other.

Robyn is making good progress with her recovery. She is starting to drive a little bit too. Lauren does most of the driving around town. She's mastered the In 'n' Out and Del Taco drive-thru! :) Robyn has trouble with her right eye. It gets irritated and tired really easy. But for the most part she is feeling really good. Her face is starting to unfreeze and get more feeling. We can see a huge difference in her. Well, I know this is a long post, but we haven't blogged for a while. We love to look at your blogs and see what is going on. We miss you guys!!

The Packing is coming along :(

We are starting to make some progress on our packing. It is a sad event. Our house is all in a shambles. Boxes everywhere, piles of things, the walls are bare. It is depressing. It really doesn't feel like home anymore, but yet it still is. We kind of feel lost.

The pantry is empty and the kitchen is all packed

And there are piles of boxes everywhere you look

It is starting to seem more real now. At least we have blogs to keep track of what everyone is doing!!! lol. We're going to miss everyone!!!!!

Umm...Washington Here We Come!!

Well, we aren't moving to Hurricane, we're moving to Washington. The city, not the state. Larry found a house down there that was meant to be. It isn't necissarlily the most upgraded place, but it is nice. We can start moving stuff in any time!! It is less that a mile away from the High School, it's close to the Wal-Mart, and all the stores, and isn't too far from where Larry has to go to work. It is in the perfect area. We are so excited. The Lord really has blessed us.

Here is a picture!

Hurricane Here We Come!

So, this is a long story. We're moving to Hurricane, Utah!!! I know, I know, it's shocking!! We always said we would never leave Utah County, or the family, but alas, life has taken us for quite the ride. Larry has been driving to Wyoming for his job, and is gone all the time. His boss asked him if he wanted to try out a route that left from St. George and came to Salt Lake, and then back. He said he would try it out, because we needed some extra $$. Then we talked about it, and decided that we should consider taking the job permanently. We went down and stayed in Hurricane this past week, while he tried it out. We looked at a few houses too. Finally, we came to the conclusion that it was the best thing to do. Going to Wyoming in the winter isn't safe, and we don't want to risk it. So by the first of August we are moving. 300 miles away!!!!! It's really scary. We are saddened mostly by the fact that we won't get to see Jenny, Troy, and the kids often. We love you guys!! We are going to miss the family and all our friends. This has been home for all of our lives pretty much. It is exciting, but depressing all in the same moment. Hopefully this will be a good move. We have always wanted to retire down in sunny St. George, and maybe this is our opportunity. Good thing we have a blog now, to keep all our family and friends up here up to date on our lives. Don't worry, we'll visit. We can't stay away from home for long.

Here is a picture of St. George that I love.

Recovery

Well, it has been 12 days since Robyn had her brain surgery! Her Acoustic Neuroma tumor is gone at last!!! It was bigger than a golf ball!!! She spent 4 days in the hospital and has been making huge improvments. Her balance is still shaky since they had to cut the balance nerves, but the other side is starting to compensate and she's doing better. The tumor was wrapped around her facial nerve, so that got tugged around a lot, so for now the right side of her face is experiencing extreme weakness. She got the staples out of her head on Friday. Her incision looks really good. Her spirits are up, and she doesn't have much pain. Things are looking positive. We'll keep you posted on how she does!
